Abstract:
The present application provides an electrochemical device and an electronic device. The electrochemical device comprises an electrode assembly. The electrode assembly comprises a first electrode plate, a first diaphragm, and a second electrode plate stacked in sequence. The first electrode plate comprises a first current collector, a first active material layer, and a first insulating layer. The first active material layer is stacked on the first current collector, and the first insulating layer is stacked on the first surface of the first active material layer facing away from the first current collector. The first electrode plate has a first end portion and a second end portion in the first direction, at least one of the first end portion or the second end portion is connected to a first tab, and the first insulating layer is located at the first end portion. The width w1 of the first insulating layer satisfies: 2 mm≤w1≤10 mm. By providing the first insulating layer on the surface of the first active layer and defining the width of the first insulating layer, the risk of short circuit between the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate due to shrinkage of the first diaphragm is reduced, a good interface between the first electrode plate and the first diaphragm can also be maintained, and the requirements for electrochemical performance are satisfied.
