Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electrode assembly having a coating portion for short-circuit prevention, and more specifically, to an electrode assembly characterized by comprising: a positive electrode sheet in which a positive electrode tab protrudes from one outer end, and a current collector and the lower part of the positive electrode tab are coated with a positive electrode mixture layer containing a positive electrode active material; a negative electrode sheet in which a negative electrode tab protrudes from one outer end, and a current collector and the lower part of the negative electrode tab are coated with a negative electrode mixture layer containing a negative electrode active material; and a separator disposed between the positive electrode sheet and the negative electrode sheet, wherein a shoulder portion extending a predetermined length in a horizontal direction and coated with the negative electrode active material is formed on the negative electrode sheet, and the shoulder portion is wrapped with the coating portion.
