Abstract:
The present invention relates to a microjet drug delivery device and, more specifically, to an electrohydraulic microjet drug delivery device for discharging high-density energy into a liquid separated from a drug by an elastic separation membrane to rapidly vaporize the liquid, thereby deforming the separation membrane and injecting the drug. The present invention provides the electrohydraulic microjet drug delivery device comprising: a discharge body having a power supply unit in which electrical energy is stored; a pressure generating unit for storing a pressure generating liquid; a medicinal fluid storage unit for storing a medicinal fluid; an elastic separation membrane installed between the pressure generating unit and the medicinal fluid storage unit for separating the pressure generating liquid and the medicinal fluid; a discharge body installed inside the pressure generating unit to be immersed in the pressure generating liquid and configured to generate a spark by electrical energy stored in the power supply unit; and a medicinal fluid delivery body having a nozzle in communication with the medicinal fluid storage unit, and detachable from the discharge body, wherein when a spark is generated in the discharge body, a part of the pressure generating liquid is vaporized and expanded, and thus, the elastic separation membrane is deformed toward the medicinal fluid storage unit to thereby inject the medicinal fluid through the nozzle.
