Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing lithium hydroxide monohydrate by using a waste cathode material of a lithium ion secondary battery and, more specifically, to a method for producing lithium hydroxide monohydrate by using a waste cathode material of a lithium ion secondary battery, wherein the waste cathode material containing lithium is pretreated by injection of steam in an inert atmosphere, and then subjected to water leaching, whereby lithium ions can be recovered at a high recovery rate and high-purity lithium hydroxide monohydrate can be produced.
