Abstract:
This electroluminescence element (1) is provided with a light-scattering layer (11), the light-scattering layer (11) including a binder (11a) provided next to a transparent substrate (10), and a plurality of light-scattering particles (11b) bound together by the binder (11a) and provided close to a smooth layer (12). The plurality of light-scattering particles (11b) are bound together by the binder (11a) such that a projected planar area (S1) when the light-scattering particles (11b) are viewed from the plane-normal direction (PL) to the main surface of a light-emitting layer (14) is larger than the complete peripheral average area (S2) when the light-scattering particles (11b) are viewed from the direction intersecting the plane-normal direction (PL) to the main surface of the light-emitting layer (14).
