Abstract:
This electromagnetic steel sheet has a principal surface and an end surface. The electromagnetic steel sheet comprises: a base material part; and an end surface nitride layer adjacent to the base material part, provided on the end surface, and containing nitrogen. The surface hardness of the end surface nitride layer is 430-1250 HV. The nitrogen concentration in the end surface is higher than the nitrogen concentration in the principal surface.
