Abstract:
This electron tube comprises a photoreception face plate (2) made of a scintillator crystal with a photoelectric face (1) located over the inside face, a covar cylinder (3) constituting the side tube of a vacuum container, and an aluminum sealing (4) interposed between the photoreception face plate (2) and the cylinder (3). The scintillator crystal constituting the photoreception face plate (2) is YAP crystal. If a scintillator material made of unillustrated BGO is disposed over this face plate, fluorescence generated by the entrance of radiation into the BGO penetrates the photoreception face plate (2) and enters the photoelectric face (1) with reflectance suppressed in the interface between the BGO and the YAP since the refractive index of YAP is higher than that of quartz.
