Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an electronic device capable of providing power to an external device, and the electronic device may comprise: a battery; an interface module; a detection module electrically connected to the interface module; a protection module which is electrically connected to the interface module and which includes a first switching element; and a charging module which is electrically connected to the protection module, the detection module, and the battery, and which includes a voltage conversion circuit and a second switching element. The detection module detects whether an external electronic device for requiring power supply is connected to the interface module, and the charging module can supply first power to the protection module in response to the detection. The protection module receives the first power and turns on the first switching element, the charging module boosts the power of the battery to a designated value through the voltage conversion circuit, and turns on the second switching element if the designated first time has elapsed after boosting the power of the battery to the designated value, and can supply, to the protection module, second power in which the power of the battery is boosted to the designated value.
