Abstract:
The present disclosure provides an electronic device for inventory management and a method for operating same. To this end, a method for operating an electronic device for inventory management, according to the present disclosure, comprises the steps of: receiving a request for a consolidation operation; recognizing information on at least one article on which a picking operation is to be performed, on the basis of space occupancy of items for each area calculated in real time according to the received request for a consolidation operation; transmitting the information on the at least one article to a terminal; receiving a picking operation result for the at least one article from the terminal; and updating information on inventory on the basis of the picking operation result.
