Abstract:
The present document relates to an electronic device and method for battery management, and the electronic device may comprise a memory, a battery, a communication circuit, and a processor electrically connected to the memory, the battery, and the communication circuit. According to one embodiment, the processor of the electronic device can charge the battery with power applied from a first external electronic device on the basis of the electronic device being connected to the first external electronic device through the communication circuit. According to one embodiment, the processor can measure a recharge entry time for the battery to reach a set recharge voltage after the battery is fully charged. According to one embodiment, the processor can identify a remaining battery capacity on the basis of the recharge entry time. According to one embodiment, the processor can identify a life span level of the battery on the basis of the remaining battery capacity. According to one embodiment, the processor can change the set full charge voltage and the set recharge voltage of the battery on the basis of life span level. Other embodiments are also possible.
