Abstract:
An electronic device according to the present invention comprises: a transmission antenna that transmits a transmission wave; a reception antenna that receives a reflection wave resulting from the transmission wave being reflected; a control unit that controls the radiation pattern of the transmission wave; and a signal processing unit that detects an object on the basis of a transmission signal transmitted as the transmission wave and a reception signal received as the reflection wave. The control unit implements control such that if the transmission wave is to be transmitted a plurality of times at a prescribed unit, a transmission wave having an altered radiation pattern is included at least one time. The signal processing unit outputs the result of detecting an object on the basis of the selection cluster, from among a plurality of clusters obtained by clustering each result in which the object has been detected a plurality of times, having the smallest area where a point group is distributed.
