Abstract:

According to various embodiments, an electronic device comprises an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) and at least one processor electrically connected to the eUICC. The at least one processor can be configured to: on the basis of confirming at least one user input that causes a first profile stored in the eUICC to be transferred to an external electronic device, transmit a first message requesting the transfer of the first profile to the external electronic device; delete the first profile corresponding to the first message on the basis of receiving a second message requesting deletion of the first profile; transmit, to an SM-DP+ server, a third message indicating the deletion of the first profile; receive, from an entitlement server, a fourth message indicating that preparation of the first profile has been completed in the SM-DP+ server that has received the third message; transmit a fifth message for requesting download information to the entitlement server on the basis of the fourth message; receive, from the entitlement server, a sixth message including the download information corresponding to the fifth message; and provide the download information confirmed on the basis of the sixth message. Various other embodiments are possible.
