An electronic device. Embodiments of the present application can be applied to the lightweight design of smart televisions, laptops or display apparatus; a protective component thereof is disposed along a side edge of a display screen component, and comprises a decorative layer, a support and a buffer layer; the support is located on a side of the display screen component and fixed on the side edge of the display screen component; the decorative layer is located on the outer side of the display screen component and support, a first part of the decorative layer is bonded to a first surface of the support by means of a first adhesive layer, and a second part of the decorative layer abuts against a screen surface by means of the buffer layer; and the first surface is a surface on the support located on a side of the screen surface of the display screen component. After assembly, the support that serves as a basic part of the protective component is located on an inner side of the decorative layer. The decorative layer fixed on the outer side of the support is used as a structure to abut against a display screen. The product outline is formed by the decorative layer. The thickness of the protective component can be effectively reduced by reasonably controlling the thicknesses of the decorative layer and buffer layer.
