Abstract:
Provided is an electronic underlay with which, even if a hand, finger, etc., is laid in a writing trace or a depression portion in a sheet of writing paper, the writing trace, etc., is not sensed. This electronic underlay is placed beneath a sheet of writing paper which is written upon with a writing implement, and comprises: a sheet-shaped light waveguide (W) wherein lattice-shaped cores (2) are sandwiched between a sheet-shaped under-cladding layer (1) and over-cladding layer (3); a light emitting element (4) which is connected to one end face of linear cores (2) which configure the lattice shaped cores (2); and a photoreceptor element (5) which is connected to the other end face of the linear cores (2). The over-cladding layer (3) is covered with a sheet material (S) which is formed from a resin, etc. The sheet material (S) has an elastic modulus set within a range of 1MPa-200GPa, and a thickness set within a range of 5-200μm.
