Abstract:
An electronic watermarking system for achieving electronic watermarking for a cryptographic function according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: a key generation means that receives a security parameter as an input thereto and generates both a watermark embedding key for embedding information representative of a watermark for a circuit achieving the cryptographic function and a watermark extraction key for extracting the information representative of the watermark from the circuit into which the watermark has been embedded; an embedding means that receives as inputs thereto a master secret key used for the cryptographic function, the watermark embedding key and the information representative of the watermark and generates the circuit into which the watermark has been embedded and which achieves the cryptographic function; and an extracting means that receives as inputs thereto the watermark extraction key and the circuit into which the watermark has been embedded by the embedding means and extracts the information representative of the watermark from the circuit.
