Abstract:
This electrostatic capacitance detecting device for detecting an electrostatic capacitance between a target object in close proximity to a detecting electrode, and the detecting electrode, is provided with said detecting electrode for detecting the electrostatic capacitance between the detecting electrode and the target object, an active shield electrode disposed in close proximity to the detecting electrode, a voltage output circuit for outputting an alternating current voltage to be supplied to the active shield electrode, a first adjusting circuit for adjusting the amplitude of the alternating current voltage output by the voltage output circuit, and a first operational amplifier for amplifying and outputting a voltage difference between an inverting input terminal connected to one end of the detecting electrode, and a non-inverting input terminal to which the alternating current voltage adjusted by the first adjusting circuit is applied, wherein the detecting electrode has a resistance value at least equal to 5 kΩ and at most equal to 270 kΩ between one end and the other end thereof.
