Abstract:
An electrostatic precipitator (1) accomodates an electrode unit (10) for trapping dust from a dust-containing airflow (P), said electrode unit (10) having therein dust-collecting electrode plates (2) and charge electrode plates (9) alternately disposed between side plates (11, 12). The electrode unit (10) is equipped with charge shafts (18) that hold the charge electrode plates (9) at upper portions thereof in a hanging state. The charge shafts (18) are supported and electrically insulated from the side plates (11, 12) by insulation members (15) that are fixed to upper locations on the side plates (11, 12). Opening an openable/closable top door (31) provided to a casing (4) of the electrostatic precipitator (1) allows a worker to directly clean, from an opening (36), the insulation members (15) located on upper portions of the electrode unit (10).
