Abstract:
An elevator controller in which the controller body controls operation of a cage and monitors for abnormality of brake torque in a brake system which brakes running of the cage. When abnormality of brake torque is detected during cage stoppage, the controller body judges whether the elevator is operating in a disaster control mode or not. If the elevator is operating in the disaster control mode, door-open is permitted, and if the elevator is operating in a normal mode, door-open is blocked.
