Abstract:
An elevator car and a counterbalance weight as vertically moving bodies are vertically movably
placed in a hoistway. In the hoistway are drive devices for lifting and lowering
the vertically movable bodies. The vertical movable bodies are provided with
guide devices guided by guide rails provided in the hoistway. The guide devices each
have a displacement body capable of being displaced relative to the associated vertically
movable body and also have an urging device for urging the displacement body in
the direction in which the displacement body is in contact with a guide rail. Also,
the guide devices are guided by the guide rails while being in contact with them.
A detection device for detecting a signal according to a displacement of a displacement
body relative to the vertically movable body is provided at a guide device. Each
drive device is controlled by a control device based on information from a relevant
detection device.
