Abstract:
An electronic part (11) has leads (17), the external edges of which protrude from
through holes (16, 16) formed on an outer cover (12) into the space external to
the outer cover (12). The internal edges of these leads (17) are bonded by welding
to a conductor (18) housed in the space internal to the outer cover (12). Swelling
parts (17a) formed on the leads (17) seals the through holes (16, 16) on the outer
cover (12). Therefore, even if a whisker occurs between the conductor (18) and
the leads (17) due to welding stress, the whisker is blocked at the swelling parts
in the through holes (16, 16). It is possible to reliably prevent the whisker from
dropping from the insides of the through holes (16, 16) into the space external
to the outer cover (12). Even when the electronic part (11) is mounted on a printed
board, the whisker is reliably prevented from dropping on the printed board.
The occurrence of a short-circuit on the printed board due to the whisker is reliably
prevented.
