Abstract:
An elevator rope is formed by twisting steel outer layer strands around the outer periphery of an inner layer rope. The inner layer rope has a fiber core, steel inner layer strands which are twisted around the outer periphery of the fiber core, and an inner layer rope cover body which consists of a resin and which covers the outer periphery. The diameter of the inner layer strands is less than the diameter of the outer layer strands. The number of the inner layer strands is more than the number of the outer layer strands.
