Abstract:
Disclosed is an elevator which enables provision of a permanent maintenance device and further space saving, even with a hoist and a control panel provided in the hoistway. In this elevator, a hoist (3) and a control panel (30) provided in a hoistway (1) The elevator comprises a contactless position detection device (200) that detects the position of a car (4) and is provided adjacently to a car door threshold and a boarding area door threshold, and an electric emergency stop device that is operated by a ropeless governor system provided with a contactless speed detector (60). In the hoistway are a first space (SP1) and a second space (SP2) which are positioned on either side of a first guide rail (2A) that guides the car, and a third space (SP3) and a fourth space (SP4) which are positioned on either side of a second guide rail (2B) that guides the car. The control panel is provided to one space among the first space, second space, third space, and fourth space, and the hoist and a counterweight (50) are provided to another space among said spaces.
