Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an emulsion-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber which exhibits both wear resistance and low-loss properties when used in a tire or other rubber products. To achieve the purpose, the present invention is a styrene-butadiene rubber synthesized by emulsion polymerization, and the styrene-butadiene rubber synthesized by emulsion polymerization is characterized by having, at a terminal thereof, a modified functional group containing a nitrogen atom and having a solubility parameter (SP value) of 9.55 or less as measured by Fedors method, or a modified functional group containing a hydroxyl group and having a SP value of less than 15.00.
