Abstract:
The present application discloses an encapsulation casing, which is used for encapsulating a cell. The cell comprises an electrode assembly and a tab that is electrically connected to the electrode assembly. The encapsulation casing comprises a housing, a cover body, and a polymer layer. The housing is provided with an accommodating part, the accommodating part is used for accommodating the electrode assembly, the tab extends from the accommodating part to the outside of the housing, and the housing is further provided with a first sealing part that extends from an edge of an opening of the accommodating part to the outside of the housing in a first direction. The cover body is provided with a second sealing part that extends in the first direction. The cover body is covered on the opening of the accommodating part, and the first sealing part and the second sealing part are disposed opposite to one another. The polymer layer is provided between the first sealing part and the second sealing part. The polymer layer is used to seal a gap between the first sealing part and the second sealing part, and when the pressure of a gas generated in the encapsulation casing by the cell exceeds a threshold, the polymer layer is also used to release the gas in the encapsulation casing. The present application also discloses a battery that uses the encapsulation casing and an electrical device. The encapsulation casing can reduce the production costs while improving sealing performance.
