Abstract:
This endoscope cover, used mounted on a tip configuration of an insertion unit, comprises: a cover main body which has a window opened in the radial direction with respect to the longitudinal axis and an annular part surrounding the side of the tip configuration proximal to the window; a fragile part which is provided in a position of the annular part adjacent to the window and which is more susceptible to breakage than the other areas of the annular part; and a buffer part which is provided in the cover main body, has an end in the same position along the longitudinal axis as the tip position of the fragile part or distally of the tip position of the fragile part, and which reduces the force applied to the fragile part from distally of the fragile part along the longitudinal axis.
