Abstract:
Provided is an engagement chain which avoids buckling, avoids increase in the cost of parts and assembly and reduction in assembly accuracy, and further attains smooth chain operation without increasing the number of rows of the chain more than necessary and avoids increase in the maintenance cost of the chain and reduction in the durability of the chain.
In an engagement chain (100), a large number of inner link units (103) are coupled in the chain longitudinal direction (Y) by a pair of front and rear connecting pins (105) pressed in and fitting a pair of front and rear pin holes of each of external tooth plates (104), opposed internal tooth plates (101) and the opposed external tooth plates (104) are engaged with each other to be integrated and disengaged from each other to be branched, the distance (W) between the plates of a pair of the internal tooth plates (101) is larger than the distance (P) between the pair of front and rear connecting pins.
