Abstract:
The invention relates to an engine (1) for a liquid dispensing device, comprising: a frame (2); a pump chamber (3) arranged in the frame (2); a piston (4) movably arranged in the pump chamber (3); a trigger (5) movably connected to the frame (2) and operatively coupled with the piston (4); a nozzle (6); an outlet channel (7) arranged in the frame (6) and connecting the pump chamber (3) to the nozzle (6); an outlet valve (8) operatively connected with the outlet channel (7); and a pair of springs (9) mounted or mountable on opposite sides (2R, 2L) of the frame (2) and engaging or engageable with the trigger (5); wherein the springs (9) are connected to each other by a bridge piece (10) extending between the opposite sides (2R, 2L) of the frame (2) and configured for securing the outlet valve (8) to the frame (2). The invention further relates to a method of assembling an engine (1) for a liquid dispensing device, comprising the steps of: providing a frame (2) including a pump chamber (3) and an outlet channel (7) arranged therein; movably arranging a piston (4) in the pump chamber (3); movably connecting a trigger (5) to the frame (2) and operatively coupling the trigger (5) with the piston (4); operatively connecting an outlet valve (8) with the outlet channel (7); and mounting a pair of springs (9) on opposite sides (2L, 2R) of the frame (2) and engaging the springs (9) with the trigger (5); wherein the outlet valve (8) is secured to the frame (2) by means of a bridge piece (10) which connects the springs (9) to each other and which extends between the opposite sides (2L, 2R) of the frame (2).
