Abstract:
The present invention is provided with: a cylinder block having a plurality of cylinders; a cylinder head which is installed above the cylinder block and which has, for each cylinder, an intake port that extends from a combustion chamber at an angle relative to the axis of the cylinder; direct injectors which are disposed in positions to the outside of the intake ports in the radial direction of the cylinders and which directly inject fuel into the combustion chambers; and port injectors which are disposed in positions to the same side, relative to the intake ports, as the direct injectors, and which inject fuel into the intake ports. The intake ports each have a valve seat at an intake opening thereof that opens into the combustion chamber, and an arc part that protrudes downward in the central region of the intake port upstream of the valve seat. The injection direction of the port injectors is oriented in a direction such that the fuel injected from the port injectors passes through the lower region of the arc part.
