Abstract:
This search system comprises a word-to-category relation graph, which indicates connections between words, in one or more documents, and document category values, stored in a database, and a category-to-category relation graph, which indicates connections between the document category values and query category values stored in the database. The search system determines, using the word-to-category relation graph, the document category values that are connected with words in a selected document, and determines a score for the selected document with respect to a query on the basis of the connections between the determined document category values and a specified query category value, as indicated by the category-to-category relation graph.
