Abstract:
In an environment map creation device and method according to this invention, a first sub-environment map that has been created as an environment map in a first environment and a second sub-environment map that has been created as an environment map in a second environment that is different from the first environment and includes the first environment are used to create an environment map for local position estimation. In a local position estimation device according to this invention, the environment map for local position estimation based on the first sub-environment map for the first environment and the second sub-environment map for the second environment is used for local position estimation. Additionally, an autonomous moving body according to this invention comprises the local position estimation device and moves autonomously.
