Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an EPDM composition for torsional dampers that is capable of achieving high attenuation and has well-balanced properties required for torsional dampers. Provided is an EPDM composition for torsional dampers, said EPDM composition comprising (a) an EPDM polymer, (b) a liquid polyolefin oligomer, and (c) a carbon black, and characterized by containing, per 100 parts by weight of the EPDM polymer (a) that has a propylene content of 35-50 wt% relative to the sum of the ethylene content and the propylene content thereof, 5-30 parts by weight of the liquid polyolefin oligomer (b) that has a number-average molecular weight (Mn) in the range of 3,000-4,000, and 10-120 parts by weight of the carbon black (c) that has a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 100-150 m2/g, an iodine adsorption amount of 110-160 mg/g and a DBP oil absorption amount of 70-135 cm3/100 g.
