Abstract:
An ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer having a content of ethylene units of 1 to less than 20 mol%, a viscosity average degree of polymerization of 200-5000, and a degree of saponification of 80-99.7 mol%, wherein the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer has an ethylene unit block character of 0.90-0.99 in the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. Such an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer has excellent high-speed coating property and water-resistant adhesiveness when used as an adhesive in particular.
