Abstract:
This evaluation method evaluates whether a protein of interest bonds with a target protein and comprises: a step (a) in which a protein of interest, a target protein, a first specific binding substance for the protein of interest, labeled by a first single-stranded nucleic acid fragment, and a second specific binding substance for the target protein, labeled by a second single-stranded nucleic acid fragment, are brought into contact in a container, as a result, a complex containing the protein of interest, the target protein, and the first and second specific binding substances are formed when the protein of interest bonds with the target protein, and the first single-stranded nucleic acid fragment and the second single-stranded nucleic acid fragment are hybridized to form a double-stranded nucleic acid; and a step (b) in which the formation of a double-stranded nucleic acid is detected. Detection of the formation of a double-stranded nucleic acid indicates bonding of the protein of interest with the target protein.
