Abstract:
An excess gas burning device that burns excess gas, which is an excess amount of fuel gas generated in a gasification furnace that generates fuel gas, in an excess gas burning unit, wherein: the excess gas burning device burns the excess gas by the same being delivered from a delivery port of an excess gas supply pipe that supplies excess gas to the excess gas burning unit; and an igniting unit that ignites the excess gas delivered from the delivery port of the excess gas supply pipe is provided further downstream than the delivery port of the excess gas supply pipe in the flow direction of the excess gas, and one or a plurality of helical fins having one or more turns and/or one or a plurality of helical fins having less than one turn is provided in the excess gas supply pipe further upstream than the igniting unit.
