Abstract:
The equipment comprises a cylinder (12) and piston (16). Handgrips (20,40) are attached to the piston rod (22) and the cylinder (12). A restricted aperture (20) which may be in the piston (16) or cylinder wall (14) causes an opposing force when the piston is manually extended and retracted. An electronic pressure sensor (32) derives a measure of applied force throughout the stroke, which is processed in an electronic circuit (34) to give a display of parameters related to the user's performance.
