Abstract:
Provided is an exhaust device for an internal combustion engine in which an exhaust manifold and an exhaust purification device are integrally configured near a lateral portion of the internal combustion engine to achieve miniaturization. The entire inflow port for exhaust from the internal combustion engine that flows in an air gap between an inner cylinder retaining an exhaust purification catalyst therein and an outer cylinder is configured to be opposed to an outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder. More preferably, the exhaust purification catalyst retained inside the inner cylinder and the inflow port are configured to be at least partially opposed to each other. Thus, uniformization of inflow of exhaust into an exhaust purification member is promoted, and an improvement in warming-up performance and miniaturization can be achieved.
