Abstract:
This external mechanism for an endoscope is equipped with: a curved wheel (41) which engages a second UD knob (3g); a motor (32) for rotating the wheel (41); a storage case (11) which stores the wheel (41) and the motor (32), and can be attached to an auxiliary operation unit (3S) and removed therefrom; and an operation switch (60) which outputs a control signal to the motor (32), and is detachably mounted to the exterior of the storage case (11). The case-side mounting surface (11f) and the switch-side mounting surface (65f) are formed so as to be flat when contacting one another in a state where the operation switch (60) is mounted to the storage case (11).
