Abstract:
An external rotation-type induction motor (2) is provided with: a stator iron core (7) comprising, in the center thereof, a shaft hole through which a shaft (6) passes, and an inner winding (8) and an outer winding (9) that are arranged near the outer periphery; and a rotor (10) having provided thereto the outer winding (9) and a gap (11). The rotor (10) rotates together with an upper cover (13) and a lower cover (14) via a bearing (12). The shaft (6) has a stepped structure comprising a small-diameter section (6b) and a large-diameter section (6a) in the lengthwise direction thereof. The small-diameter section (6b) is pressed into and engaged with the shaft hole and a stepped section is brought into contact with the upper edge surface of the stator iron core (7).
