Abstract:
Provided is a metal fastener element comprising an enmeshing head part (11) and a tape-clamping part (21); the enmeshing head (11) comprising a flat part (12), central projection parts (13) projecting from upper and lower faces of the flat part (12), and pairs of left and right raised enmeshing parts (14); the left and right raised enmeshing parts (14) being disposed spaced apart, on the upper and lower faces of the flat part (12), inward in the element widthwise direction from left and right outer side edges. As a result, the fastener element (10) of a slide fastener (1) has an appearance similar to that of a kokeshi-doll, and can be imparted with a luster, color, etc. unobtainable via die casting. It is also possible to prevent disengagement from occurring when the slide fastener (1) is bent in a letter-U shape while the fastener element (10) is in an enmeshed state.
