Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a fastening tool which is used for fastening a working material via a fastener for swaging multiple members and provides a fastening tool which allows for use of both a rupture-type and a non-rupture-type fastener while achieving structural compactification. A fastening tool 1 for fastening a working material via a fastener including a pin and a collar is provided with an anvil 61, a pin gripper 65, a drive mechanism 4, a motor 20, a controller 28, and a housing 10. The drive mechanism 4 is moved backward relative to the anvil 61 along an axial line A1 of the pin gripper 65 for gripping the shaft part of the pin so as to cause the collar to be swaged into a groove in the shaft part, thereby fastening the working material with the collar and the head of the pin. The operation mode of the drive mechanism 4 can be selectively switched between multiple operation modes, including a first mode in which the fastening process of the working material is completed according to the state of the fastener and a second mode in which the fastening process of the working material is completed according to the driving state of the motor 20.
