Abstract:
The present application relates to the field of optical communications. Disclosed are a fault locating method, apparatus, and system. The method comprises: acquiring transmitting power of a monitoring optical signal transmitted by a monitoring light source to a port of a monitoring link in an optical network device, and acquiring receiving power of the monitoring optical signal reflected from the port back to the monitoring light source by means a reflecting device in the monitoring link; and determining, on the basis of the transmitting power and the receiving power, a fault condition of a link segment, in the monitoring link, between the port and the reflecting device. The present application can solve the problem that fault locating cannot be performed. The present application is used for fault locating for a monitoring link in an optical network device.
