Abstract:

A color having a small color component value is adequately reflected on the feature vector. A feature vector computing unit (18) computes the value of a predetermined increasing function of the color component values of at least a part of the constituent elements of an image as at least one component of the feature vector of the image and computes the value of a predetermined decreasing function of the color component values of at least the part of the constituent elements as at least another component.
