Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a fermented milk containing ingredients such as cereals, which can be taken without imposing undue burdens on consumers, and a method for manufacturing the same. The method according to the present invention for manufacturing a fermented milk containing ingredients comprises a pasteurization step and an addition step. In the pasteurization step, the ingredients are pasteurized. In the addition step, the ingredients are added to fermented milk. In the pasteurization step, it is preferred that water containing the ingredients is heated or the ingredients are added to acidic water. The fermented milk containing the ingredients, which is the final product obtained by the method for manufacturing a fermented milk containing ingredients, preferably has a viable bacterial count of 1×107 cfu/g or greater.
