Abstract:
Provided are a small-size protection element capable of increasing the rating in response to an increase in the rating of a lithium ion secondary battery or the like, and a mounted body comprising the protection element mounted on a circuit board.
The protection element comprises an insulation substrate (10), a heating body (11) disposed on the insulation substrate (10), a heating body lead electrode (13) electrically connected to the heating body (11), and a meltable conductor (15) having a pair of terminal portions (20) to be connected to an external circuit, and breaking the external circuit current path when melting between the pair of terminal portions (20).
