Abstract:
A ferrule according to the present invention is provided with a ferrule body in which a fiber hole is formed. An adhesive filling section, for filling with an adhesive, and an intermediate cavity section are formed in the ferrule body. The adhesive filling section and the intermediate cavity section communicate with the fiber hole, and in a cross section orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the fiber hole, the cross-sectional area of the intermediate cavity section is larger than the cross-sectional area of the fiber hole. In the longitudinal direction, the intermediate cavity section is positioned at the middle of the fiber hole.
