Abstract:
Fibers for artificial hair which have a well-balanced combination of soft feeling and bulkiness. The fibers for artificial hair have a cross-section having a shape formed by overlapping circular sectional regions so that a curved part is included in the shape, the width of the joint formed by overlapping satisfying the following relationship: 0.2R0≤A0≤1.2R0 (4) (wherein R0 is the radius of the circular sectional regions and A0 is the width of the joint). Also provided are the fibers for artificial hair which have at least one cross-sectional shape selected from the group consisting of U-, C-, Y-, and H-shapes and have a flexural rigidity as determined by the KES method of 1.2×10-2 to 3.5×10-2 N·cm2.
