Abstract:
Provided is a fiber-optic cable in which colored film requiring production time is not used, and in which the desired optical units can be easily distinguished during mid-span branching. A fiber-optic cable formed by covering with a jacket an optical unit (3) in which an intermittently fixed tape core (6) having markings (13) formed thereon is housed in a transparent tube (7), wherein the optical unit (3) is distinguished by the particular type of markings (13) formed on the intermittently fixed tape core (6). Therefore, when a portion partway along the cable is separated for viewing during mid-span branching, the optical unit (3) can be distinguished from the particular type of markings (13) thereof.
