Abstract:
Provided is a compact filter device that is capable of filtering signals in a wide band. A filter device 10 comprises: a piezoelectric substrate 201; a dielectric layer 202 which is provided on the piezoelectric substrate 201; an IDT electrode 203 which is provided on the dielectric layer 202; an IDT electrode 205 which is provided on the piezoelectric substrate 201 in a region in which the dielectric layer 202 is not provided, and alongside the IDT electrode 203 in the elastic wave propagation direction P along the main surface of the piezoelectric substrate 201; a reflector 2041 which is provided on the dielectric layer 202, on the IDT electrode 205 side and adjacently to the IDT electrode 203; and a reflector 2061 which is provided directly on the piezoelectric substrate 201, on the IDT electrode 203 side and adjacently to the IDT electrode 205. The dielectric layer 202 has an edge 2021 that, in a planar view from the stacking direction of the piezoelectric substrate 201 and the dielectric layer 202, is positioned between the reflector 2041 and the reflector 2061.
