Abstract:
A fire extinguisher comprises a housing for containing a fire extinguishing substance. The housing comprises an opening which is closed by a lid to prevent the substance exiting the housing. The lid is configured to release from the housing to allow the substance to exit through the opening to extinguish a fire when heat is applied to the fire extinguisher. The fire extinguisher further comprises at least one arm which is located at least partly in a cavity of the housing which is for containing the fire extinguishing substance, and the at least one arm is configured to actuate to expel the fire extinguishing substance from the housing when the lid is released.
