Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fishing rod back rest having: a back rest support for fixing the rear portion of a fishing rod at a predetermined height; and a U-shaped fixing holder fixedly formed at the top of the back rest support in order to support the rear portion of the fishing rod, and having left and right pressing operation pieces, which are provided at the upper end of each of left and right fixing holders of the U-shaped fixing holder so as to be rotatable with respect to hinges by means of the elasticity of torsion springs, allow the rear portion of the fishing rod to be inserted between the left and right fixing holders while being elastically widened when the rear portion of the fishing rod is inserted between the left and right fixing holders and, simultaneously, are returned to the original positions thereof after the rear portion of the fishing rod is inserted between the left and right fixing holders, so as to elastically press the rear portion of the fishing rod such that a state in which the rear portion of the fishing rod is safely held on the fishing rod back rest can be maintained.
